Novomatic Italia moves headquarters to Rome

Novomatic Italia, the Austrian gaming group’s subsidiary in the land of wine and pasta, will move its headquarters to the capital Rome. The bitcoin gaming machine manufacturer announced this in a press release and at the same time explained the reason for the move. The relocation is intended to unite the administration with all important subsidiaries in Italy in one place, which should probably speed up many decision-making processes and production. The decision is embedded in the major growth strategy that Novomatic Italia has initiated with numerous changes since the beginning of the year.

Novomatic Italia headquarters moves from Rimini to Rome

Italy is one of the most important markets in Europe for the Austrian gaming group. Both in the terrestrial sector with arcades and betting stores and on the Internet with Novoline casinos, the slot machine manufacturer is excellently positioned. After many years of success, however, the Corona pandemic with its months-long lockdowns in tow has taken its toll on the Italian subsidiary in particular. At the beginning of this year Novomatic Italia therefore decided to work out a new growth bitcoin strategy and the relocation of the headquarters to the capital Rome is the latest building block in this process.

Until now the subsidiary was divided into two parts, at least as far as its important locations were concerned. While production was already located in Rome, the administration was previously located in beautiful Rimini. Thus, there were about 350 kilometers between the two locations, which certainly slowed down certain processes significantly. As Novomatic Italia announced, the headquarters will now move to the Eur district in Rome into a modern office building. Five floors above ground and two floors below ground are available for a total of 10,000 square meters.

New managing director

In January Novomatic Italia announced its new growth strategy in the course of appointing a new managing director. After three years Olga Rodrigo left Italy to join the subsidiary in Spain as CFO. Since then Markus Buechele has taken over the role of Managing Director and is mainly responsible for the future growth strategy. The relocation of Novomatic Italia’s headquarters from Rimini to Rome is the last building block so far and will also benefit all subsidiaries.

Several companies of the Austrians, such as Allstar, have their offices in the Eur district and will be able to work directly with the administration on a fast track in the future. CEO Markus Buechele, COO Karl Plank and Bartholomaeus Czapkiewicz, the head of R & D systems, will in turn also benefit from the shorter distances. On the one hand, control by top management will be simplified, and on the other, feedback will provide important information much more quickly. The main goal, Novomatic Italia said in January, will be to get back on track for growth in all business areas and with all subsidiaries in the country, if possible.
